Ten Things to Do While You Wait

                     SNOWFLAKE ADOPTION

Snowflakes Frozen Embryo Adoption Program
Snowflakes™ goes beyond the embryo donation provided by fertility clinics by offering the safeguards and education available in a traditional adoption. A homestudy is prepared on the adopting family that includes screening and education. The genetic family is responsible for selecting a family to raise their genetic child, as opposed to the doctor in a clinic making the selection of a family. Our program recognizes the importance of counseling all parties involved. Most importantly, at Nightlight Christian Adoptions we recognize the personhood of embryos; we treat them as precious pre-born children, not property to be transferred.
Snowflakes can help create families for couples whose infertility does not allow them to create their own genetic families, specifically couples considering egg or sperm donation. It also appeals to families who cannot afford the $12,000+ required for egg retrieval and fertilization, or the fees for egg donation.
Nightlight Christian Adoptions has matched 230 genetic families (with 1584 embryos) with 145 adopting families. To date 81 babies have been born, and 10 adopting families are currently expecting at least 15 babies.   (more...)

NEEDED ~ ADOPTIVE FAMILIES!

ECFA - Wisconsin currently has a need for more prospective adoptive families, as God has entrusted them with numerous birth parents who are considering placing their unborn (or already born) children with ECFA families... email Jill  or call 262-789-1881   Note: Birthparents preference is usually an infertile couple with no children. Special need for mixed race and African-American couples.

Please read ECFA's adoption guidlines.

The Gift of Adoption Fund provides assistance in the form of a one-time grant. The Fund's mission is to provide financial assistance in the form of grants to adoptive parents.
Grants are awarded at the end of each month. The deadline dates are the last day of each month. All applicants will be notified in writing within 60 days of the last day of the month in which they applied.
The amount of the grant varies depending on the particular situation, however, grant amounts are usually between $2,000.00 and $5,000.00.
