"The people were so friendly!" Once you reach the door there will be someone there to shake your hand, greet you, and welcome you. There will be others that will give you a bulletin (program) so that you will know what will be happening that morning. After the service all are invited to stay a while and enjoy coffee and lemonade as you mingle and get to know some of the people. During the service a Friendship Register will be passed along and signed. This is NOT to get you on a mailing list...it is a tool that allows you to see who is sitting near you. You can see their name and where they are from. People attend from Waupun, Horicon, Randolph, Columbus, Fall River, Reeseville, and Beaver Dam.
After church there are Sunday school classes for all ages. Classes are informal and comfortable. Discuss an interesting topic over a cup of coffee. Relax, visit and laugh...friendships will form quickly.
“I can wear what’s comfortable!”
We’re more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear.
Dress can range from jeans and sweatshirt to office casual. So, dress casually and you’ll fit right in.
“I loved the programs for my kids!” On Sunday Mornings we offer Children's Church and Sunday School. During the month we offer programs for boys, girls and teens. During the summer there is no Sunday School for the children....but there are Activity Bags available, so the children can be occupied with coloring pages - games - and puzzles - all with Biblical themes. There is a nursery available for babies and Toddlers just down the hall.
"I wasn't expected to give money." The offering is for those who are part of the Faith Community family. Instead of wanting you to give something, we want you to get something!
"I really enjoyed the music." - We like different styles of music, ranging from traditional hymns to contemporary choruses... we utilize hymn books, song sheets, and powerpoint presentations...our music is mellow, heart-felt, and encouraging. We also have several talented musicians who often perform special musical numbers and we have a Praise Band who assist us in worship monthly.
"The people were really nice." Those who attend on a regular basis are a nice cross-section...including young families, empty nesters, singles, and seniors. Even though the CRC church has historical roots in the Dutch culture, our church is unique in that fact that we come from many backgrounds. Many of our members were raised in other faiths such as Baptist, Lutheran, Catholic, Methodist -- just to name a few. But they all have found that this is a comfortable place to "belong".
